1. Jjimjilbang

My first full Korean day was spent at the Jjimjilbang (bathhouse) Dragon Hill Spa because I couldn’t imagine doing anything else in my jet lagged state. It proved to be the perfect jet lagged activity and only cost me 10,000 won.

    Dragon Hill Spa:

The pleasant walk to the spa:

I pranced around naked with Korean women and soaked in various large bathtubs. This was great because I have an addiction to baths.  I also went into the sweat room which almost burnt my face off. I had to cover my head to keep my face from burning. It was this little hut of a room and it was intense. There were two other women in there and they must have thought I was a wimp because I didn’t even last a minute before I had to crawl out and escape. The spa also had rooms for family lounging, watching TV and playing video games, but when using these rooms you had to wear these super ugly baggy shorts and this unattractive t-shirt that was the same shade of grey as the shirts they wear on Nick Arcade. It was like a summer day-camp outfit and it was not cute, and everything in Korea is supposed to be cute. Most things are cute. Even the pig heads at the market.
